As program operations assistant for ITI, Andrea Echols provides administrative support to the ITI team and assists with ITI office operations. In addition, she supports the ITI program at various domestic and international meetings to coordinate and supplement meeting logistics, including the semi-annual Trachoma Expert Committee Meetings.
Prior to joining ITI, Andrea worked as a Program Assistant for the River Blindness, Lymphatic Filariasis, Schistosomiasis, and Malaria Programs. She is a native of Atlanta who holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Theater Studies from Emory University. Her history concentration in law, economics and human rights inspired her to work in the nonprofit sector, as her studies focused on minority communities and their disadvantages. In her free time, Andrea enjoys taking aerial hoop and fitness classes, and spending time with her pets.
