

As the Global Communications Manager, Beja leads and manages ITI's communication strategies and collaborates with ITI partner organizations to amplify information related to trachoma elimination efforts. She spearheads content creation with a focus on storytelling and advocacy, ensuring that the voices of the communities ITI serves are at the forefront.
Beja brings over 8 years of experience in the international development and global health. Before joining ITI, she worked as a Technical Advisor for Knowledge Management and Communications at CARE USA, where she supported learning and knowledge-sharing initiatives across economic empowerment, food and water access, climate justice, and health teams. Prior to that, she worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the Poxvirus Branch, focusing on data analytics related to mpox. She has also volunteered with local health initiatives in Atlanta and spent time living and working in Tanzania on sexual and reproductive health programs.
She holds a Master of Public Health in International Health and Development from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of Miami. Passionate about global health, she has dedicated her career to supporting initiatives that drive meaningful impact worldwide.
