Tijana Williams, the Director of the albendazole donation programmes, is currently responsible for delivery of GSK’s commitments towards global Lymphatic Filariasis (LF) elimination and the Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) control programmes via the World Health Organisation (WHO). Working in collaboration with several global partners, Tijana manages the manufacture and supply of up to 1 billion tablets per year to over 80 endemic countries. Tijana has extensive experience in finance, supply chain management, international development and public health, leading project(s) with excellent change implementation, planning and organizational skills. Tijana is proficient in work across functional/geographic boundaries (fluent in multiple languages) and creates an atmosphere of trust and respect in her work relationships. Tijana is passionate about fighting infectious diseases, keen to develop her career in this field. Earlier in her career, Tijana held senior positions at Pfizer, Oracle and Fisher Scientific. She is an Economics graduate from the University of London, has an MBA, an MPH, and is currently working towards a PhD in Tropical Medicine at LSTM.
