Nicholas Olobio is the Deputy Director and the Program Manager of the National Trachoma Elimination Programme, Federal Ministry of Health, Nigeria. He is a Public Health expert with over seventeen years of experience in the control and elimination of NTDs in Nigeria. Nicholas' expertise in program management, monitoring and evaluation, disease surveillance, data management, operational research, and project appraisal makes him a valuable asset to the program. His role in coordinating and overseeing trachoma elimination activities, including working in security-compromised areas and special populations, demonstrates his dedication to eliminating the disease from Nigeria.
His involvement as a certified TD trainer, particularly in training and certifying survey teams, highlights his commitment to maintaining high standards in data collection and ensuring that the data collected aligns with global standards.
Nicholas's co-authorship of numerous scientific publications on trachoma elimination showcases his commitment to advancing the knowledge and understanding of the disease and its elimination strategies.
